About:  "Calm Missouri River" is a tranquil landscape painting capturing the serene stillness of a river at rest—its surface glassy, sky reflecting softly, and tree-lined banks dissolving into the hazy distance. Though inspired by the Missouri River, it draws deeply from my own family's cherished float trips on the Black River in Missouri. Those memories—drifting in quiet moments between paddles, sun-dappled water, and the laughter echoing off rocky bluffs—flow through this piece. It's a visual reflection of peace, connection, and the simple joy of time spent with loved ones in nature.
